    Genius 34

    This is nothing much. It was after Momo rescues An and Sakuno. Momo recognized Sakuno from the games (where he and Ryoma were in). He had a knowing grin and thought to himself that Ryoma was a punk and only in year 1.

    Genius 44 (vol 6)

    Sakuno tested out her new gadget. A tennis ball with a stretchable line that bounces back and forth as it is hit. Tomo called Ryoma over. He asked for directions to the library. Sakuno replied but Ryoma was distracted by the tennis ball. He then tested it out using her racket. Sengoku came for a visit. Sengoku gets a bruised eye.

    Genius 79 & Genius 80 (vol 10)

    Ryoma's father asked Ryoma to help him coach his friend's granddaughter. Yes, it was Sakuno (and Tomo). Ryoma obliged (after he got kicked out of the car) and observed them. Sakuno, determined to work hard, accidentally hit the ball outside the park. Sakuno went to retrieve the ball. It was in a school court. She tried to reach it with her racket but it was too far away. The students of the school invited her into the court to get her ball. As Sakuno walked in, one guy purposely kicked a trolley full of balls down. Now her tennis ball (the one where she drew Ryoma's face on) was in the sea of other tennis balls. Tomo was searching for Sakuno and saw this. She alerted Ryoma. Sakuno crawled on the court and checked each and every ball for her tennis ball. They harshly asked her to speed up her search. Ryoma hits a tennis ball into the court , hitting one of the guys. He ignores the angry comments and asked Sakuno if she has found it. She says that she cannot find hers. Ryoma looked around and thought that Sakuno could never find it in the midst of 300 other balls. Ryoma 'ordered' that the guys help the search. They said no, asked for an apology from Ryoma and blamed it on Sakuno. Tomo saw Sakuno's tennis ball hidden in one of the guys and told them. Ryoma stood in front of Sakuno and faced the guys. Ryoma made a bet with them to win back the tennis ball. He won Sakuno's tennis ball and 300 extra tennis balls.

    Genius 241 (vol 28)

    A girl, Kotoha, came to school to see Ryoma. Ryoma accidentally bruised her head while opening a door. Kotoha was brought to the nurse's office and Ryoma accompanied her. Kotoha gushes over Ryoma. Tomo was mad. Kotoha and Ryoma started talking about tennis. The regulars as well as Tomo (and Sakuno) were eavesdropping outside. Sakuno said that she needed to go to her tennis club. She looked a bit dejected. Later, Ryoma played a match and Kotoha cheered him on. Sakuno was working hard at her club. At the end of the day, Kotoha said goodbye. As Ryoma exited, Sakuno commented that his backhand form was different. (It looks like she was waiting for him) Ryoma said, "Heh, not bad," and drank his Fanta. So Ryoma knew all along because many scouts came to Seigaku that day. (Sakuno said this)

    Genius 306

    Sakuno made omusubi (rice balls) for Seigaku regulars. Ryoma took a bite. He has one omusubi in each hands. She asked if the omusubi was delicious. Ryoma replied that it is hard to make a bad omusubi. "Eeeh...! Ryoma kun...". Eavesdropping on their conversation, Eiji said Ryoma was an idiot. Momo and Inui were with Eiji. Sakuno then offered Ryoma the tennis ball shaped omusubi that she has made. (I think in a separate batch, just for Ryoma). Kintarou, who was resting on a tree, fell down, almost crashing on to Sakuno. Sakuno fell down to her knees and Kintarou rescued her omusubis before it fell. Sakuno thanked him. Da da da.. Ryoma frowned/glared at Kintarou before he recognized him. Suddenly a thief skated by, yelled at them to move and managed to avoid Sakuno (very closely) but not her omusubis in the container. In a traditional Ryoma fashion, he served and the ball hit the thief. Kintarou did that as well. Kintarou asked Sakuno if the omusubi can be eaten. But it has fallen on the ground, she said. Kintarou just picked it up from the ground and ate it. He said that her omusubi were delicious. (he ate them all) Sakuno smiled gratefully and Ryoma closed his eye grudgingly. Kintarou's team called him over and he left. Inui, Momo, and Eiji came out from their hiding and said something about Kintarou and Ryoma. Ryoma knew they were hiding and peeping. Inui sweatdrops. Ryoma then motioned for Sakuno to go with him.
